需要と供給が成立しているとはいえ、行政が人間を酸素を生み出すための手段としての植物化させる「転花」を支援していて、ある意味での「死」を認めている社会が成り立っている世界観がおもしろい。

貧困にあえぐ人々が多く、主人公のトーシローもその中の一人で、人生に絶望し終止符を打つために支援金目当てに転花手術を受けるところから物語は始まる。
転花手術から完全に植物化する「霊花」までの約2年間、様々な人達との関わりで何を思いどう生きるのか。

幼なじみのヨミコとのバディっぷりや転花した人とそれに関わる人のエピソードは見もので、そういう感じで数巻いくのかな～と思いきや、本筋のストーリーもテンポよく進むので飽きさせない感じがうれしい。

2巻から急激にストーリー進行が加速していき、バトルやグロ要素や出始めて先日発売の最新4巻では大分ダークで闇深な展開に…
